Advanced Physical Medicine is a pain management practice at 24345 Harper Avenue in St. Clair Shores, between 9 and 10 Mile Road. Dr. Stephen Wilson, MD founded it with one goal: an integrative approach to pain that restores movement, improves function and gives people their quality of life back.
Medical treatment, physical therapy, MLS laser therapy, medical massage and acupuncture happen under one roof, so you are not sent across town for each part of your care.

Our Founder
Dr. Wilson trained at Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital in Chicago. He has more than 25 years of experience and has been named one of Hour Detroit Magazine’s “Top Docs”.
He looks for the root cause of pain and builds a plan around it, combining traditional medicine with treatments such as medical acupuncture, prolotherapy, intramuscular stimulation and PRP.
A Team That Works Together
Our physical and massage therapists work in the same office as Dr. Wilson, so he stays involved in every step of your recovery. We also work closely with your primary care provider to keep your care connected.
The team keeps learning, always looking for the most effective treatments to manage pain.
